Feedback from the Field: Researching the frontline experience with SafetyCulture

Seen but not heard? Frontline workers still face a battle to be listened to on issues that matter most to them

As organizations navigate the Great Resignation of 2021, all eyes are on an essential — but historically undervalued —workforce. Recent events have thrust frontline workers into the spotlight.

Now it’s time to open up the floor to them too.

SafetyCulture and YouGov partnered up to explore the experiences of American, British and Australian frontline workers. Here’s what we found:

  • Seen but not heard: The majority of American, Australian, and British frontline workers (67%) say that they are never, rarely, or only sometimes listened to on topics that matter to them the most
  • Frontline workers fear job loss when reporting COVID-19 adherence issues: Almost half of Australian frontline workers (48%), more than a third of American frontline workers (36%), and more than one in five British frontline workers (22%) agreed this is a potential scenario
  • Lack of action prevents frontline feedback: Over one in three frontline workers (34%) agree their willingness to provide workplace feedback is impacted by a belief that “nothing will be done” once reported

This report reveals crucial frontline feedback, designed to help working teams get better every day. Download the full report today.
