This Site Inspection Checklist helps property and facilities teams assess internal and external communal areas for safety, condition, and compliance. Review signage and notices, doors, windows, locks, lighting, floors, walls, and ceilings. Verify fire safety measures including alarms, detectors, smoke vents, dry risers, and evacuation notices. Capture site specific items such as lifts, pools, gyms, meeting rooms, offices, and visitor areas. Inspect external elements such as walls, roofing, guttering, fencing, pathways, car parks, gardens, and drain covers, and check for graffiti, vermin, and hazards. Evaluate bin and bike stores for cleanliness, security, and condition. Record general checks on gates, CCTV, water and electric readings, abandoned vehicles, outdoor taps and legionella, ponds and pump stations. Document findings, note required quotes, assign actions, and maintain a clear audit trail.
