This residential development inspection template guides property and facilities managers through a comprehensive site visit. Record client and site details, dates, and locations; review development appearance including grounds, car parks, bin and bike stores, and signage. Capture estate meter readings for electricity, water, and gas. Inspect external items such as drains, lighting, paving, fences, refuse, and abandoned vehicles. Verify booster pumps, tanks, CCTV, and mechanical gates. For each block, assess internal common areas, cleanliness, windows, post boxes, decorations, handrails, stair treads, lighting, fire doors, service cupboards, and flooring. Check external decoration, roofs, guttering, and balconies. Confirm required signage for fire safety and services. Review mechanical and electrical equipment including emergency lighting, aerial and satellite systems, door entry systems, and smoke or fire alarms. Log additional issues and capture the inspector signature.
