Use this quarterly inspection checklist to assess the condition and performance of ventilation plant air handling units. It guides teams through general safety and access checks, running checks, and isolated shutdown checks. Verify intake and discharge dampers, lighting, fan drives, coil placement, energy recovery systems, condensate drains and traps, humidifiers, filter fitment and differential pressures, duct test points, lagging, labeling, pipework condition, and drip trays. Record alignment and tension of belts, cleanliness of coils and matrices, and signs of water ponding. Capture readings, comments, photos, and corrective actions, then restart the unit and confirm automatic changeover operation.
