This annual inspection checklist supports healthcare teams in assessing critical ventilation systems including air handling units and plant room equipment. It covers general condition, safe access and security, air intake placement, operation of motorised dampers, and visibility of fans. Inspect filters, record pre and main filter differential pressures, check belt alignment, and confirm coil and drip tray cleanliness with proper fall to drain. Verify drainage traps and air breaks, humidifier type and operation, test hole availability and caps, clear labelling and duct lagging, and any energy recovery system. Restart the plant, verify start up, and test motor changeover. Aligns with HTM 03-01 guidance.
