Use this common area inspection form to evaluate the condition and safety of shared spaces across residential or commercial buildings. The checklist covers internal areas from ground floor to upper levels, including decoration, floor and stair finishes, handrails, flat entrance doors, ducting and conduit, tiling, windows, and ceiling or attic hatches. External checks include front and rear elevations, gutters and downpipes, gas risers, drains and rodding eyes, bin storage, boundary walls and fences, paving or slabbing, and grass areas. Capture general comments, note defects, and schedule corrective actions to maintain clean, compliant, and well-presented common areas.
