CBRE Fall Protection Harness Inspection Checklist
by Kevin Cote, from the Community
This CBRE fall protection checklist supports periodic inspections of body harnesses and lanyards to help teams working at height stay compliant and safe. Capture harness details and photos, verify label legibility, manufacture and out‑of‑service dates, serial and model numbers, and size. Inspect hardware (buckles, D‑rings, back pad, loop keepers) for damage, distortion, cracks, burrs, sharp edges, broken or bent parts, and corrosion. Review webbing for cuts, frays, broken fibers or stitches, tears, abrasions, mold, and burns. Record pass or fail decisions, reasons for failure, and the inspector’s name or signature, plus site, assignee, date, and location.
