Climbing Harness Daily Inspection Checklist
by brian maguire, from the Community
Use this climbing harness daily inspection checklist to evaluate the condition of body harnesses and lanyards before every use. Verify labels, model and serial numbers, and service dates; check buckles, D-rings, springs, back pads, and keepers; inspect webbing and stitching for cuts, frays, abrasions, heat or chemical damage, and signs of mold; and assess lanyard hardware for burrs, cracks, elongation, corrosion, and other defects. Capture photos, describe issues, record pass or fail decisions with reasons, and sign off to keep workers safe at height.
