Assess hardware for damage, distortion, sharp edges, burrs, cracks, and corrosion. Examine webbing for cuts, frays, broken fibers and stitches, tears, abrasions, mold, and burns. Capture lanyard make and identifiers, evaluate condition, and document overall results. If defects are found, remove from service and destroy. Includes inspector signature.

This full body harness and equipment inspection checklist helps teams assess fall protection gear for safe use on site. Inspect hardware components such as buckles, D-rings, back pads, and keepers for wear, deformation, sharp edges, cracks, burrs, and corrosion. Review webbing for cuts, frays, broken fibers or stitches, tears, abrasions, mold, and burns. Record SRL and crossarm strap details including manufacture dates, serial numbers, and label legibility, then verify lifeline function, retraction, and locking. If any defects are found, remove the item from service and destroy. Capture inspector signature and key equipment identifiers to support compliance and traceability.
