This 6-month or 600-mile motorcycle service checklist guides technicians through a thorough inspection and service. Cover customer and technician notes, vehicle identification, and arrival condition. Check lights, pegs, levers, mudguards, handlebars, mirrors, wheels and tires including tread depth, pressures, damage, spoke tension, and wheel bearings. Inspect chassis components such as headstock and swingarm bearings, and verify torque specs for front axle, rear axle, swingarm spindle, RSU bolts, and mudguard fasteners. Audit the brake system including disc and caliper bolt torque, lever force, pad depth, fluid level and condition, leaks, hose abrasion, and line clips. Validate throttle and sidestand function both mechanically and electrically. Run electrical checks, including 12V battery, DTCs, and software updates for motor controller, DBCU, main battery, reed switch, and Octo device if fitted. Note any non-warranty repairs, decide if workshop return is needed, and complete work notes, name, signature, and date.
