Ensure roadworthiness before each shift with this lorry daily pre use checklist. Verify licence, record mileage, and check engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, battery and leaks. Inspect tyres, wheels, lights, reflectors, wipers, mirrors, windows, seat belts and horn. Confirm brakes, steering, air pressure, instruments and dashboard warnings. Review fuel and AdBlue levels, emissions, vehicle cleanliness and body condition. Check load security, number plates, operator licence display, height marker, tachograph rolls and stickers, and speed limiter labels. Document defects and decide vehicle safety.

This vehicle defect sheet helps drivers complete daily inspections before use and submit reports by 9am each Monday. Record the asset, date, time and odometer and check fluids, body condition, tyres and wheel fixings, battery, brake lines, couplings, electrical connections, air leaks, spray suppression, vehicle height and load security, engine smoke, registration plates, cab interior and seat belts, tachograph, steering and brakes, mirrors and visibility, lights and indicators, wipers and horn, reflectors and markers, warning lamps, speedometer and speed limiter, operator licence display, and AdBlue or DEF. Note any defects or damage and submit to the transport manager.
