Use this daily lorry pre start checklist to complete a thorough vehicle safety inspection before departure. It covers exterior condition and load security; fluid levels for fuel, oil, coolant, and brakes; tyre condition and wheel fixings; cab checks including seatbelts, mirrors, windows, horn, handbrake, pedals, warning lights, and comfort controls; washer and wiper operation; lights and audible or visual warnings such as reverse alarms and beacons; and emissions. For articulated setups, it includes coupling security, trailer brakes, hydraulic hoses and boom, grease points, control box and remote, valves, and general operating condition.
