CT Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) Checklist
by Jeffrey Trammell, from the Community
Use this CT Vehicle Condition Report (VCR) checklist to assess the condition and roadworthiness of company or fleet vehicles. Record vehicle details (make/model, year, mileage), verify registration and inspection expirations (including federal and IFTA), and inspect critical items such as tires, lights, mirrors, wipers, washer fluid, bumpers, and interior controls. Confirm safety equipment availability, including warning triangles or flares, wheel chocks, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Note discrepancies, capture photos where applicable, and include preparer details, location, and signatures to complete the report. Ideal for transport and logistics teams to standardize daily or periodic vehicle checks and maintain compliance.
