Use this planned preventative maintenance checklist to inspect and service powered swing gates. Record site details, equipment make and model, control type and safety devices. Verify IR beams, warning lights, safety edges, signs and access controls. Clean and lubricate hinges and drive systems, check oil and hydraulic fluid levels, tighten fixings and confirm limit switches and emergency stops work. Assess cables, enclosures, foundations and physical stops. Test photocells and safety edges stop and reverse functions. Perform force dynamics testing at 500 mm, 300 mm and 50 mm where required and log pass or fail results. Capture photos, note defects and recommendations, and confirm compliance with PUWER, HSE, GateSafe and DHF guidance. Include electrical checks, backup power status and key access details. Finish with overall condition, client acknowledgment and engineer sign off.
