Gym Accessories Safety Inspection Checklist
by Paul Shillaker, from the Community
This template helps fitness teams routinely inspect gym accessories and strength equipment to maintain safety and performance. Review cleanliness, sharp edges, secure frames, missing or loose bolts, and worn pads across barbells, platforms, bumper plates, benches, dumbbells, racks, kettlebells, sleds, and TRX. Record hazards, rate user safety, and verify adjustments and pins lock correctly. Use the checklist to document defects, prioritize repairs, and keep gym members and staff safe.
