This Safety/IT monthly inspection checklist helps teams audit facility safety and environmental conditions. Review fire protection systems including smoke detectors, heat sensors, pull stations, strobes, fire extinguishers, and emergency and exit lighting. Check carbon monoxide detectors, electrical outlets, panel labeling and clearances, lighting, exits, and posted evacuation plans. Verify SDS binder access, correct chemical storage and labeling, and note any broken glass or trip hazards. Assess proper use of extension cords and surge protectors, condition of walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and hardware. Inspect cleanliness, trash containers, restrooms, microwaves, refrigerators, cleaning supply storage, HVAC vents, floor coverings, and outside areas.
