Property Landscape Field Inspection Checklist
by Patrick Wunsch, from the Community
This landscape field inspection checklist helps evaluate maintenance quality across property sites. Inspect turf for mowing lines, height, edging, color, density, weeds, insects, and disease. Review trees for fresh mulch, proper depth, crisp rings, sucker removal, canopy clearance, and correct trimming, noting any dead trees. Assess perennial and annual beds for weeding, edging, plant health, deadheading, seasonal cutbacks, groundcover control, mulch needs and color, watering, and replacement needs. Check hardscape and amenity areas such as entry monuments, sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, parks, and community fences for cleanliness, debris removal, and weed control. Use this template to document findings, note additional concerns, and maintain consistent grounds and landscape standards across sites.
