by Hayley Townsend, from the Community
Use this template to assess two-storey Houses in Multiple Occupation for licensing compliance. Check license display, gas and EPC certificates, repair and emergency contacts, and special conditions. Verify fire safety: Grade D alarms in each room, a kitchen heat detector, compliant fire doors with closers and seals, keyless exits, protected meters, clear escape routes, and a fire blanket. Record general property condition including maintenance, working keys, tenant damage, damp, smoke smells, rubbish buildup, garden condition, and cleanliness. Capture comments, photos, meter readings, and note if a re-inspection is required.
