Daily Mechanical Walk Checklist

Use this daily mechanical walk checklist to verify critical building systems across a hotel or mixed use facility. Inspect boilers, heat exchangers, hot and chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, cooling towers, domestic cold and hot water, DHW recirculating pumps, and HVAC set points and temperatures. Check elevator control rooms, IT and AV rooms, generator and ATS rooms, fire pump and panel status, and main electrical rooms. Capture readings for supply and return temperatures, PSI, and room conditions, and log issues found on each floor and in the mechanical room. Use this template to standardize rounds, reduce downtime, and maintain safe reliable operations.
