Confirm autolube function, belt tensioner movement, and absence of broken exhaust manifold bolts. Ensure hoses and harnesses are protected with rub guards and the heater control valve is not leaking. Validate PMI sticker currency and that DVIR write-ups are signed off correctly. Check DOT safety items (spare fuses, fire extinguisher, hazard triangles), test the electric brake motor with key and engine off, and review windshield condition.
