Use this monthly fleet vehicle safety checklist to standardize pre-use and routine inspections across your fleet. Verify tyre pressure and tread depth, lights and indicators, windscreen and wipers, number plates and mirrors, horn and dashboard warnings, demisters, seatbelts, brakes and parking brake. Check onboard safety equipment including fire extinguisher and first aid kit BS8599 compliant, then review fluids such as coolant, engine oil, battery, brake and power steering fluid, and screen wash. Capture vehicle photos, note defects, raise actions with a line manager, and sign off with date, location, and mileage.
