This longhole drilling post-blast inspection checklist helps mining teams verify safety and readiness after a blast. Confirm vent and ground clearance, blast disconnection, barricades, lead wire removal, washing and scaling of the heading, and correct installation of required hardware. Check that all loaded holes were initiated, pre-loaded holes are visible and signed, no remnant powder or cord remains, and whether blow piping is needed. Ensure smart shot boxes are returned and on charge, note any rehabilitation or further work required, and record sign-offs from supervisors to prepare for the next blast.
