This restaurant daily opening checklist helps Food and Beverage teams prepare for service with consistent standards. It covers front of house appearance, including entrance decor, floors, walls, chairs, tables, ceilings, lighting, windows, music, patio setup, and floral displays. It guides buffet line readiness with clean stations, correct tags, and serving cutlery. Cashier station tasks include tax invoices, float money, reports, cleanliness, and system checks. Hostess stand items include clean counters, working telephones, updated reservation books, directories, and in house function updates. Menu checks verify clean covers and inserts, undamaged pages, updates, and sufficient quantities. Systems such as ePoint, printers, cartridges, credit card terminals, and dust free equipment are verified. Side stations are set to standard, and refrigeration is powered on with recorded temperatures, FIFO stock rotation, and secondary shelf life checks. Back and bar areas are cleaned, lit, air conditioned, and organized; washing stations are hotel standard; coffee machines are clean, beans and tea are available, equipment is sanitized, cups are warmed, and cabinets organized. Store rooms are tidy and organized. Team member presentation standards include polished shoes, clean uniforms, tidy hair, appropriate makeup, shaving, moderate perfume, short clean nails, name badges, minimal jewelry, correct socks, and no phones in pockets.
