Guest Service Basics Workshop Checklist
by Learning & Development, from the Community
This guest service basics workshop checklist helps supervisors observe and coach frontline teams in hospitality settings. Use it to assess greeting behaviors, the 10 feet and 5 feet rule, use of guest names, clear and cheerful tone, open and attentive body language, and warm eye contact. Check attention to detail within a 5 meter radius such as clearing soiled plates within 30 seconds, keeping floors free of rubbish, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. Encourage natural smiles and consistent thanks after each interaction, including admissions, check ins, and when guests leave the lounge.
