Use this Daily Indoor Checklist to verify classroom and childcare spaces are safe before opening. The checklist guides staff through key areas including electrical safety, lighting, sleep areas, heating and radiator covers, room temperature, food storage and fridge temperatures, spill cleanup, handwashing procedures, allergen controls, nut checks, waste disposal, first aid stock, and fire safety. It also prompts checks for clear fire exits, functioning alarms, extinguisher condition, secure locks, and readiness of an evacuation bag. Additional tasks include safe storage of cleaning products and small objects, PPE availability, bathroom soap levels, and laundry. Sign off with the responsible team member and completion time for accountability.
