Use this daily heavy equipment pre-use inspection checklist before starting work. Record equipment type, make, model, and hours; confirm operator training and authorization; inspect cab components including gauges, controls, brakes, steering, safety devices, and emergency shutdown; perform a 360-degree walk-around for leaks, damage, tires or tracks, decals, ladders and grab rails, lights, mirrors, and fire extinguisher; check fluid levels for engine oil, transmission, hydraulics, coolant, fuel, and lubricants; attach photos of defects and capture operator and safety representative signatures.
