Initial Client WHS Evaluation for Mobile Work

Use this checklist to evaluate a client's WHS systems when workers perform mobile work. It guides assessors through injury history, proactive hazard identification, safe work procedures and SWMS, behavior and conduct controls, worker consultation, and a broad hazard matrix including working at heights, demolition, powerlines, chemicals, traffic management, and remote work. It also checks emergency planning, site induction, training and competency, and any required health monitoring. Initial Client WHS Evaluation for Site Environments
Use this template to conduct an initial client WHS evaluation of site work environments. Capture injury and illness history, verify WHS systems, worker consultation, inductions, and emergency planning, then complete a detailed site assessment. Assess hazard controls for asbestos, confined spaces, crystalline silica, electrical safety and powerlines, excavation, falling objects, working at heights, hazardous chemicals, manual tasks, noise, outdoor work, traffic and mobile plant. Record amenities, lighting, ventilation, first aid, signage, and access to procedures. Determine whether mandatory criteria are met and document the outcome to guide safe worker placement and next steps.
