This van audit checklist helps teams inspect vehicle condition and essential roadwork equipment before heading to site. Verify visible chevrons, beacon operation, tyre condition, and all vehicle lights. Check Chapter 8 traffic management items including cone signs, pedestrian signs, footway closed signs, sandbags, courtesy board, and the Chapter 8 red book. Confirm PPE readiness such as hard hat, gloves, dust mask, steel toe cap boots, eye protection, and ear defenders. Validate emergency and safety gear including first aid kit, eye wash pads, spill kit, fire extinguisher, key box, and pit roller bar. Record GDU calibration date, van registration, team members, location, and preparer to support fleet safety and compliance.
