Use this Truck Pre-Start Checklist to complete a daily inspection before operating a heavy vehicle. Verify licence and service status; check engine oil, coolant, hydraulic, transmission and brake fluids; look for leaks; confirm indicators, brake lights, head/tail lights, horn, beacon and reverse alarm are working; assess body, seat and seatbelt condition; ensure cab cleanliness; inspect tyres and wheel nuts; test brakes, park brake, steering and controls; set UHF to the correct channel; confirm roadworthiness and fitness for work; record issues and sign off.
