Use this checklist to perform a ground level visual pallet racking inspection and document hazards that could endanger personnel or damage stored goods. Assess uprights, beams, bracing, base plates, anchors and safety locks, and record defects like deformation, cracks or corrosion. Classify issues using green, amber and red risk levels per AS 4084-12 and note immediate unloading or isolation when required. Confirm safe working loads, correct use and any installation changes, and capture actions and recommendations. Exclusions include seismic capability, slab provisions and fire egress, which require separate assessment.
