Use this pre MOT checklist to assess vehicle readiness before the MOT test. Cover key interior items including seats and seat belts, warning lamps, switches, visibility, wipers and washers, brake controls, doors, mirrors and horn. Verify exterior elements such as registration plates, lights, indicators, headlamp aim, stop lamps, reflectors, wheels and tyres, shock absorbers, wiper blades and fuel cap. Include under bonnet checks of vehicle structure, braking, exhaust, fuel, steering and suspension, and under vehicle checks of driveline, bearings, brakes, exhaust and fuel system. Record odometer reading, pass or fail outcome, and list advisories.
