This car inspection checklist helps service teams document vehicle condition before work begins. Record site, preparer, date, customer name, make and model, photos, and VIN. Assess prior paint correction or ceramic coating, cleanliness on arrival, and whether inspection was completed with the customer. Capture notes on body and paint including gauge readings under 4 mil, swirl marks, chips, dents, scratches, missing paint or pieces, sun fading, water spots, and high speed marks. Inspect glass for chips, cracks, and water scaling, and wheels for scratches and spots. Finish with customer approval and signature to authorize service and media use.
