Rack Commissioning Quality Control Checklist
by David Ross, from the Community
This rack commissioning quality control checklist supports AV and IT integrators in validating builds before site handover. It covers initial checks such as receiving the BOM and stamped drawings, preparing the job envelope, and organizing manuals and accessories. Detailed verification includes power-up and grounding, cabling to Infocomm standards, ventilation and thermal spacing, and control system firmware, addressing, and code deployment. Audio DSP configuration and routing, telco interface tests, video switching and processing, and video codec setup are included. Final steps ensure IP configuration is recorded, drawings are redlined, punch lists cleared, temporary cabling removed, and the rack is returned in ready condition.
