by Daniel− Nathan, from the Community
This Point of Work Risk Assessment template is designed for telecom field crews conducting street works and excavation. It guides teams through job setup, weather checks, safe dig prints, utility identification to HSG47, NRSWRA compliance, and signing, lighting and guarding. It covers plant checks, PPE and equipment readiness including CAT and Genny, vibration controls, deep excavations and confined spaces requirements, and environmental considerations such as spill kits. It also lists emergency contacts and nearest hospitals to support incident response, and includes a site register and final site safety checks before leaving.
