This Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) template helps teams evaluate hazards at the job site before work begins. It covers site setup, inductions, PPE, welfare, and pre-use checks, then guides users through common risks including slips and trips, work at height, COSHH, falling objects, hot works, asbestos, structural collapse, manual handling, plant and vehicle movements, confined spaces, noise, temperature, vibration, electricity and LOTO, contamination, poor lighting, adverse weather, and dust/fumes. It promotes practical controls such as segregation, barriers, mechanical aids, job rotation, ventilation, exposure limits, and appropriate PPE. One completed POWRA can apply to the whole team and includes space for notes and supervisor sign-off.
