This Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) template helps supervisors assess risks at the job site before work begins. It guides pre-start checks for documentation, permits, PPE, equipment, scaffolds, and safe access; prompts hazard identification across falls from height, slips and trips, flying objects, chemicals, hot works, manual handling, vehicles and exclusion zones, confined spaces, electricity, noise, vibration, poor lighting, temperature, adverse weather, pinch points, and more; and documents controls with residual risk. A review section captures new hazards, lessons learned, and safety suggestions. One completed POWRA can cover the whole team and supports safer construction and field operations.
