This Front End Tour checklist helps retail teams assess the performance of the store’s front end. Review cleanliness and organization of entrances, carts, registers, and podiums; verify electric cart condition; and ensure sweeping and mopping are completed. Measure speed and service quality by checking cart availability, average wait and exit times, and overall checkout efficiency. Evaluate friendliness and engagement of hosts, greeters, cashiers, and COS, including adherence to renewal and credit scripts. Confirm standards and services such as current offers at the entrance, green dot program compliance, accurate register signage, and use of checklists. Examine front-end operations, staffing, one-on-ones, evaluations, and planning for upcoming events. Track metrics like MET Score MTD and Door Errors WTD to drive continuous improvement.
