Use this retail sales evaluation checklist to review key moments in the customer journey on the sales floor. Assess greeting within 5 seconds, energy and body language, asking at least three open-ended questions, and confirming customer needs. Evaluate product knowledge, clear explanation of features and benefits, and live demonstrations. Check that current promotions are communicated, upsells and add-ons are offered, and objections are handled effectively. Verify alternatives in out-of-stock situations (omnichannel options), explain loyalty or friends-and-family programs, and discuss payment options where relevant. Ensure guarantees are covered, the sale is properly closed, and the customer is thanked and welcomed back.
