This void post inspection checklist is designed for council and social housing teams to verify that a vacant property is ready for re-letting. Inspect front and rear exteriors, gardens, fencing and outbuildings for condition and debris. Record outstanding repairs across rooms including entrance hallway, kitchen, lounge, bedrooms, landing and bathroom. Capture photos, note meter and consumer unit locations, check boiler type, storage heaters and gas or oil meters. Use pass or fail criteria to confirm readiness and prioritize any remedial work.
