Turnover Maintenance Inspection Checklist
by Mauricio Silva, from the Community
Use this turnover maintenance inspection to prepare apartments for new tenants. The checklist covers the entrance lobby, doors, ceilings, lighting, walls, floors, and storage. It includes MEP utility checks such as consumer unit, HIU, MVHR, pump controls, routers, power, and water isolation. Verify life safety systems including smoke and heat detectors and sprinklers. Inspect kitchen-lounge fixtures, switches, thermostats, windows, blinds, and flooring. Record the condition of furniture and entertainment units. Check appliances in detail: oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, washer-dryer, dishwasher, hob, and cooker hood. Review bedrooms, wardrobes, mattresses and furniture; bathrooms with vanity, basin, tub, shower, toilet and fittings; and balcony-terrace railings. Capture notes, mark items completed or replaced, and sign off with date and time.
