This HVAC trim-out checklist helps technicians verify end-of-installation details before startup. Confirm supply and return vent covers are siliconed and oriented correctly, returns open fully for filter replacement, and filters are installed with correct airflow direction. Check bathroom exhaust fan covers, thermostat zoning and damper wiring, SS2 and drain pan float switches, and condensate drain with cleanout, trap, cap, and full insulation to the unit. Verify indoor high/low voltage wiring, outdoor units set on level pads above grade and secured, line sets brazed with nitrogen, filter driers installed per system type, nitrogen pressure test at 300 PSI, and vacuum to 500 microns. Inspect exterior and soffit vents with stainless screws and pest covers, install heat kits, wire GAM units, and capture photos of air handlers, outdoor units, and line-set connections for QA documentation.
