HVAC Maintenance Inspection Checklist

This HVAC maintenance inspection checklist helps technicians document each visit across common equipment types, including rooftop units, split systems, exhaust fans and unit or radiant heaters. Record customer and site details, list all equipment inspected, and capture results for electrical disconnects, housings, burners, heat exchangers, condenser coils, compressors, fans and blades. Log voltage and amperage draws, controls and thermostat operation, belts and pulleys, lubrication, drain pans and traps, economizer settings, and gas line condition. Add preventative maintenance notes, recommendations and acknowledgment, then finalize with charges, terms and confirmation that the report was emailed.
