Use this Main Plant PPM checklist to complete a 6 monthly preventive maintenance visit for HVAC and refrigeration plant in retail stores or similar facilities. Steps include sign-in and induction, verifying refrigerant and oil levels, moisture indicators and liquid line drier, compressor oil level controls, HP and LP safety switch settings and shutdown response, suction and condenser fan set points and differentials, recording compressor and fan run amps, checking crankcase heaters, inspecting and replacing faulty electrical switchgear, electronic leak detection across piping, cleaning condenser coils, clearing debris, securing weather-tight electrical enclosures and interlocks, replacing damaged insulation, confirming alarms at multiscan, and validating evaporator control and defrost parameters.
