Use this initial property inspection checklist to document key details for residential, commercial, mixed-use, or land properties. Capture borrower and property information, address and folio numbers, appointment and inspection dates, and photo evidence. Record security status, number of floors, parking, occupancy or vacancy, tenant contact, and whether locks were changed. Check utilities such as electricity and gas, note system drain down, and verify operational fire and intruder alarms. Identify combustible materials and any health and safety hazards, then add further comments for follow-up.
