HVAC Inspection Checklist for Heat Pumps
by Jack Santacroce, from the Community
Use this preventative maintenance checklist to inspect residential or commercial heat pump HVAC systems. Record indoor air handler and outdoor condenser conditions, verify thermostats, delta T, filters, evaporator coils, drain lines and pans, safety switches, blower components and capacitors. Check condenser pad, service disconnect, surge protection, defrost controls, contactor, fan motor and blades, compressor, reversing valve, coils, and visible refrigerant leaks. Assess ductwork type and sealing, and capture overall heating results with signatures. Ideal for technicians and facility teams.
