RTU Inspection Checklist for HVAC Maintenance

This RTU inspection checklist supports preventive maintenance of rooftop HVAC units. Review key components such as thermostat, disconnects, fuses, electrical whip, blower motors and belts, filters and metal mesh filters, evaporator and condenser coils, drain pan and condensate line, pressure switches, contactors, capacitors, transformers, circuit boards, heat strips or heat exchanger, condenser fan and compressor, as well as refrigerant levels, superheat and subcooling. Document findings, note repairs, and keep heating and cooling systems running reliably.
