This weekly office fire safety audit checklist helps teams verify core safeguards and compliance in workplace buildings. Inspect escape routes for obstructions, confirm exit signs are illuminated, ensure areas are free of rubbish, and check that fire extinguishers are accessible. Review notice boards for current escape routes, confirm no unauthorized smoking, and assess fire equipment and fire blanket condition. Validate dangerous goods storage, adequacy of signage, and the condition and self closing of fire and smoke stop doors. Check that the evacuation point is displayed, emergency lighting functions, and sprinkler system water and air pressure with a 30 second motor alarm test. Capture other observations and record auditor details and signatures.
