Intruder Alarm Preventative Maintenance Checklist
by Dannie Speakman, from the Community
Use this checklist to perform routine preventative maintenance on intruder and hold-up alarm systems. Verify monitoring and signalling, review as-fitted documentation, check tamper detection, entry and exit procedures, and power supplies including batteries with quiescent and alarm current readings and capacity calculations. Conduct full walk tests of detectors and panic buttons, assess environmental conditions, test warning devices and all ATS paths, and complete visual inspections. Capture engineer comments, additional work and parts, and obtain customer acceptance and sign-off.
