BUC Annual Property Maintenance Checklist

Use this checklist to plan and document an annual inspection of church properties in line with the Work Health and Safety Act. The template guides congregations through checks on external grounds and access, building interiors and exteriors, accessibility, trip and slip hazards, gutters and walkways, electrical safety and appliances, ventilation and amenities, first aid readiness, fire safety equipment and evacuation procedures, security measures including lighting and locks, protection of contents and data backup, rental arrangements and key management, child safety and playground upkeep, and kitchen controls. Capture findings and create an action plan to address risks, maintenance, and insurance exposures.
