This daily pre-start packing checklist supports food manufacturing teams in verifying readiness before production begins. It covers personal hygiene (hair and beard nets, handwashing, correct uniforms), housekeeping, pest control, and equipment maintenance. Product protection steps include functioning metal detectors, checkweighers, calibrated scales, and control of foreign objects with metal-detectable tools. It also checks knives, labeling and date coding, storage and labeling of containers and chemicals, correct handling of allergens, and proper storage of packaging and raw materials. Non-conforming product must be identified and isolated. A pass score threshold allows production to commence.
